Pirate News This Week (2/06 to 2/11)

Dear BCHS community,

• On February 14th and 15th Herff Jones will be in the cafeteria during lunch to collect the $80 graduation fees for seniors. These fees cover the cost of cap and gown, medallion, diploma and cover, and ceremony costs such as renting the facility. If you haven't already paid the grad fees, these two times give families an opportunity to pay at school rather than online or at the Herff Jones office in St. Petersburg. Beginning March 1st, fees increase by $10 at the beginning of each month. Mrs. Spiegel or Mrs. Oldja are available in the media center if you have any questions about the Senior Class.
• Seniors should also purchase their senior ads ASAP; ad space is almost gone!! Approximately 70 yearbooks remain; buy yours now for $70 in room 1-069.
• Juniors and seniors: Are you looking to build your collegiate resume? Are you looking for a club or organization that you can join? Now is your opportunity. The Boca Ciega High School is opening its very first chapter of Rho Kappa (row cap a). Rho Kappa is a nationally recognized Social Studies honor society. Membership is exclusive to juniors and seniors only and other restrictions do apply. Flyers will be posted in each of the social studies rooms with more information. Interested applicants should see either Mr. Eriksen in room 4-214 or Ms. Izykowski in room 4-206 to see if they qualify. Please see either of them before or after school, during lunch, or during periods 3 or 6. The application deadline is February 10th.
• Boys Soccer uniforms to Coach Harrington or Coach Bidwell by the end of the week.

• 5000 Role Models Meeting @ 12:45 in the Student Activities Room
