Rehab Ice BathCWMP (Center for Wellness & Medical Professions) students have practical experiences to supplement classroom instruction and enhance their medical volunteers experiences. General Requirements

  • 2.0 GPA or better in all classes
  • Professional and respectful attitude
  • Good attendance and conduct
  • One medical class each year
  • 200 community service hours

Community Service Hours

Every CWMP student must earn 200 volunteer hours. 100 hours must be medically-related. The remaining hours may be earned in any other area of service. Hours must be documented and turned in to CWMP office each year for credit.

Academic Courses:

  • Those required for high school graduation including Math, Science, English and Social Studies
  • Honors and Advanced Placement academic classes
  • Dual Enrollment classes that earn both high school and college credit

Medical Courses:

  • Health Science 1: A healthcare course for 9th graders that covers topics universal to all healthcare professions
  • Health Science 2: A course for 10th graders that studies diseases of the body and their prevention
  • Allied Health Assisting: A course designed for 11th graders to explore various healthcare professions; includes shadowing experiences
  • Senior Medical Specialty classes: Nursing Assistant, Medical Office Assistant Manager, First Responder

Additional Courses:

  • World Language (for college bound students)
  • Anatomy and Physiology (required)
  • Care and Prevention of Athletic Injuries

Extended Learning Opportunities:

  • Realistic hands-on experience in the classroom
